May I Have Your Attention Please?

Sgt. Tim McCarthyOne highlight of any home football game is hearing from Sgt. Tim McCarthy of the Indiana State police. Every time he shares a safety reminder following the end of the 1812 Overture, you know two things: It’s almost time for the fourth quarter, and there’s a pun coming. A bad pun.

This groan-inducing ritual is part of every home football game, and it’s become such a tradition that McCarthy and stadium announcer Mike Collins even wrote a book about it. But you don’t have to wait for fall to hear from McCarthy. As Summer in the City approaches, he has a message for you.
