The 2012 University ornament features a view of Notre Dame Avenue which leads into the heart of the University. Lined by a row of trees originally planted by Rev. Patrick Dillon, C.S.C., it is the main entry point to campus and welcomes each incoming freshman and returning alum.

The ornament is crafted in brass and plated in 24K gold with the year engraved on the back. Made in the United States, this year's ornament is the 20th in the series offered by the Alumni Association.

Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association's community service and academic programs.
