How Two Brothers Started an Age of Revolution
Come hear History Department Chair Patrick Griffin talk about how two British brothers, the Townshends, helped initiate the crisis in the 1700s that led to the Age of Atlantic Revolutions. It begins with the discussion about how the brothers are missing from some seminal works of art in the 18th century and ends with a ghost story that tells a great deal about the ways we remember the origins of the American Revolution.
